:: LET YOUR HEART DO ALL THE TALKING :: Author :: Escachick357 Info :: Songfic *Lovin' your smile Lovin' your style Don't you get it?* Kyou walked through the alleyways hearing some soft footsteps behind her. She stopped and turned her head, seeing no one. But she knew who was there; the boy that loved her the most: Low. He always followed her with a cute smile upon his face. Sometimes she would look behind her head with her eyes and see his smile. She hated to admit it, but she loved seeing Low's smile more than Gau's. *Got what I need You gotta believe I'm already yours* At night she'd sit at the table in her bedroom, staring at the sky and smiling. Low came a few times and saw her staring off into the sky, believing that she was thinking of him, but later realized that she was imagining Gau. After a while he quit coming, announcing defeat. He just thought that Kyou would never love him. The last night Kyou saw him, she had a troubled look on her face. She knew that she had a crush on Gau, but as nice as he was, Gau never did like her the way she did. Then she thought of Low, the silver haired boy who sent her love letters and was always vowing to protect her. She wasn't sure who she loved. She was told of many kinds of love. She only had two of them. In her head, she believed that she loved Gau, but her heart said that she loved Low. All she had to do was figure out which one to listen to: her head and her heart. During the afternoons, when she did deliveries for Feorina, she saw many people in the town that listened to their heads and eventually lost their loves. "My heart," She told herself, "I must listen to my heart. Not my head." Now all she had to do was tell Low her feelings. *Let your heart do all the talking* Now she was even more confused than before. She was at the hardest part of love: telling the person their feelings. Frantically, she asked Folly what to do. The older woman smiled at the young girl. "All you have to do is express what is in your heart." Was all Folly told Kyou. *Give it a shot Give what you got Take me flyin'* CRASH! BANG! BOOM! Kyou looked towards the field that had dust flying in the air. She heard someone sigh from the doorway of the inn(A/N: I can't remember the name of Feorina's inn). Kyou turned her head and saw Folly. "Another training session with Gau has started." Folly half sighed and half laughed. Kyou giggled. 'Yeah, Elle should really go easier on Gau.' After a minute two sets of footsteps came up: one normal, another dragging. Kyou looked up and saw Elle and Gau smiling. Gau was covered in bruises and struggling to stand. Kyou softly giggled and saw Low standing underneath a tree behind Elle. She blushed. *Give me your lips Give me the kiss I've been dyin' for* Kyou took a deep breath and a few steps towards Low. As she walked, she wondered what she would say to him. The words were both inside her head and her heart and stuck there as if they'd been there her whole life. She only needed confidence: nothing more, nothing less. When she stopped, she found herself standing right in front of the silver haired boy. Low smiled at her and she smiled back, but because of the lack of confidence, the only word Kyou could get out was, "Hi." She knew she wanted him and the cute smile he gave just made her want him even more. *Let your heart do all the talking* Kyou stared at him, her face getting hotter every second. She stared into his eyes and literally got lost in them. All the words that were stuck in her head disappeared and she couldn't get the words that were in her heart out. She couldn't speak and she could barely move. Eventually, she left to go inside the inn, leaving a heart-broken Low under the tree. *Take my hand Understand That dreams can come true* Kyou stood at a table with a wet cloth in her hand, wiping the tables. She stared absentmindedly as her hand went across the table. 15 minutes passed and Kyou was STILL on the same table, wiping and staring at nothing. A hand grabbed her arm, making Kyou get to her senses. Kyou looked to her side at Elle. "Are you okay?" Elle asked the younger girl, "You've been cleaning that table for 15 minutes already." Kyou shook her head, "I'm fine, Elle. I'm just thinking about something." "You mean someone." Elle smirked. "What?" Kyou asked, blushing. Elle smiled, " I know how you feel about Low. Trust me, he feels the same way." Kyou smiled back and continued with the rest of the tables. *And all you gotta do Is to go, is to flow With emotion, you Gotta know, gotta show The devotion* Low stood onto the balcony staring into the sunset that was coming. "Why wouldn't she talk to me?" He asked himself. He loved her even if he believed that she wanted to be with Gau. He saw how she always was around him and how he was always saving her from whatever threatened her. Footsteps came from behind him and a tall figure stood next to him. Low looked to his side and saw Ibas staring at the sunset. "Why are you here? Worried about Kyou?" Ibas asked the student standing next to him. Low shrugged, "She doesn't care about me. Why should she? She's got Gau to protect her." Ibas sighed, "Maybe so, but she also needs someone to love her." Low's eyes got wide as he stared at his teacher. Ibas nodded. Low smiled and left the castle. *I just wanna be close to you (In the sunshine) Wherever the sun shines (In the rain) Wherever you go* Kyou put the towel with the laundry and smiled. All the chores were finished and the tables sparkled...at least the ones that weren't filled with men drinking wine and alcohol. The sky turned dark and stars filled the sky. From a window, Kyou stared absentmindedly. She missed Low. She missed looking at the love letters that he used to always send her. She missed him vowing to protect her if Gau couldn't. But most of all, she missed hearing him call her his "sunshine" and "fair maiden". *Let your heart do all the talking* "I have to see him. I have to tell him how I really feel." Kyou whispered. Kyou walked over to Feorina, who was busy making green octopus. "I need to go out for a while." Kyou said softly. Feorina smiled and nodded. Kyou stepped out of the inn and through the dark, empty town. The only people were the guards, but she paid them no mind. The love in her heart reminded her that she needed to see Low. *You're makin' a mistake You're makin' me shake With desire* Low walked passed all his fellow classmates, some sleeping and some not. As he walked towards the exit, he thought of Kyou. Everytime he saw her, he couldn't help but to smile. He loved watching her sigh and stare at the night sky even if he wasn't on her mind. But when he thought of how broken his heart got when she barely talked to him and always hid behind Gau. "You're an idiot, Low! She's got Gau. She doesn't need you!" Low's head told him. He was about to turn back and admit defeat when the words that Ibas told him overruled his thoughts. He kept walking towards the inn. *Don't need a break Don't wanna wait 'Til the fire's gone* Kyou walked a lot faster than she normally would. Her energy got a little weaker, but she didn't stop. She was used to walking like that when she traveled with her grandfather and the other Septias. She just wasn't prepared for what was going to happen next. As she walked passed a closed shop, a big hand grabbed her arm and turned her around. Kyou looked up and saw 5 huge men, the largest was pulling her to an alleyway. She took her free hand and grabbed her chulinks. She threw them and trapped two of the men. One of the final three pulled out a sword and walked up to her. All she could do was scream. *Let your heart do all the talking* Low walked throughout the empty town thinking of Kyou. Everything seemed peaceful and he thought of how he should tell her his feelings. Then heard a loud scream....the scream of his sunshine. He ran to the place where she screamed: the alleyway. *Get in the game Get in the zone Get in the action* Two of the men grabbed Kyou's arms and held her top part still. The man was holding a sword and got closer to her. The trapped men were still struggling to escape. The man with the sword got closer and closer to the young girl. Kyou struggled to escape, but her arms were trapped and the sword was almost at her. The sword came in range, so before the man sliced her, Kyou kicked it out of his hands. Then sword stuck into a stone wall. "You bitch!" The swordsman screamed before he started beating Kyou with his fists. The two trapped men escaped and joined the swordsman in beating the small girl. The men holding her tightened their grip. She was in so much pain that she couldn't even cry out for help. Tears rolled down her cheeks and pain fell all over her body. 'This is it. I know my life is going to end here' Kyou closed her eyes. The grip on her left arm suddenly loosened and she heard 3 figures fall to the ground. Kyou opened her red eyes and saw a flash of white hit the man that held onto her right arm. The grip loosened and the man fell into an unconscious heap. The last man standing aimed a final punch at Kyou. She never felt it. *There's really no shame in letting me know That I'm the one. Let your heart do all the talking* Before the man could lay the punch upon Kyou, his fist was grabbed by another hand and a few punches were thrown at the man before he fell unconscious. The figure grabbed Kyou and held her in his arms. "Kyou? Are you all right?" The figure asked. The voice seemed so familiar and made Kyou's heart melt, "Low-san?" *Take my hand Understand That dreams can come true* Low looked at the girl in his arms and gasped. There were bruises along her face and arms. Some of her skin was cut and blood was seeping out and rolling in thin, red lines. The wind blew and Kyou shivered. Low softly took off the coat he was wearing and laid it gently upon Kyou, who then stopped shivering. *And all you gotta do Is to go, is to flow With emotion, you Gotta know, gotta show The devotion* Low gently picked Kyou up in his arms a second time and carried her towards the inn. Before he got to the door, Low looked down at Kyou and saw that she had fallen asleep under his coat. Low sighed and opened the door to the inn. Right when she saw Low holding an injured Kyou in his hands, Folly began taking out her magic scrolls (aka: those pieces of paper that Folly uses). Low helped carry Kyou up to her bedroom and layed her on her bed. He quietly left the inn and let Folly do her healing on Kyou. As he walked back to the castle, all he could think about was Kyou. He knew that she'd be fine, but he still couldn't resist being a tiny bit scared. *I just wanna be close to you (In the sunshine) Wherever the sun shines (In the rain) Wherever you go. Let your heart do all the talking. Let your heart do all the talking. Let your heart do all the talking.* When morning came, all the bruises and most of the cuts were gone off of Kyou's body. Kyou opened her ruby eyes when she heard the familiar CRASH! BANG! BOOM! Of Elle practicing with Gau. "Did Low save me?" Kyou whispered. She looked at her left arm and saw a small cut. Kyou walked to the exit of the inn and sat on a bench out in the sun. "Are you feeling better?" Folly asked from the clothesline in front of Kyou. Kyou smiled and nodded her head. A huge cloud of dust filled the air and Elle walked up from the field with Gau half walking behind. From behind Gau stood Low under a tree, staring at Kyou. 'Okay, it's now or never. Tell him your feelings'. *Now finish what you started Because you brought it There ain't no better time.* Kyou took a deep breath and walked passed Elle and Gau and up to Low. She took off the coat that Low had put on her the night before. "Thank you for what you did last night." Kyou said smiling and giving the coat to Low. Low smiled back at her and grabbed his coat. Kyou took another deep breath, "Low, I have something to tell you." *Don't be so chicken-hearted If you want it Lay down the line* "Yes?" Low asked. Kyou paused. The words were in her heart, she just had to get her confidence up. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't. "I..."She began. She couldn't get out anymore than that. "Before you say something, I must tell you something...I love you even if you don't love me." Low interrupted. A look of surprise appeared on Kyou's face. *And all you gotta do Is to go, is to flow With emotion, you Gotta know, gotta show The devotion* Low stared at the look Kyou had and his heart nearly broke in two. It broke even more when he saw tears coming out of her eyes. Kyou smiled at him, "I love you, too. I've loved you for a long time." Low smiled back at her and dried the tears from her eyes with his thumb. *I just wanna be close to you. (In the sunshine) Wherever the sun shines (In the rain) Wherever you go. Let your heart do all the talking.* Low put his arm around Kyou's body and pulled her into an embrace. He lifted her body up off the ground. He laughed out loud and swung her around. When he put her back on the ground, he stared into her ruby eyes, now twinkling with happiness and joy. *And all you gotta do Is to go, is to flow With emotion, you Gotta know, gotta show The devotion* Low looked around towards the inn and saw nobody around. As quick as lightening, he drew Kyou into a kiss. Kyou swore she could feel sparks from Low's lips as they met her own. As soon as his lips touched hers, she didn't want them to ever leave. She wished that the kiss would never end. She wanted to be like that forever. *I just wanna be close to you (In the sunshine) Wherever the sun shines (In the rain) Wherever you go* Before the kiss ended, cheering was heard from behind both Kyou and Low. The two of them broke apart embarrassed and looked behind them. Standing there were Elle, Gau, Folly, Dias, Feorina, all with smiles. Elle was the one cheering. Low and Kyou stood under the tree, in each other's arms embarrassed. They stood there until rain clouds filled the sky and the earth grew wet. Then everyone decided to go inside the inn. *Let your heart do all the talking* The entire inn was free of customers and everything inside was clean. Kyou and Low were sitting on Kyou's bed in each other's arms (with clothes on). Kyou was personally proud of herself. She had the choice of listening to her head or her heart when it came to love and she chose the right one. She lifted her face and stared into Low's silver eyes. "I love you, my sunshine." Low told her. "And I love you, my white lightening." She answered with a huge smile. She'd never be confused about love again.
